Multitasking is an important skill that can greatly improve a person’s efficiency. Even though the ability to perform a task quickly and without error decreases as a person takes on more simultaneous tasks, the overall productivity for that person is greatly increased, especially in the case where a person has taken on five or more tasks. For example, two cumbersome but necessary tasks in a healthy person’s life are excercising and sleeping. Sleep can consume 7-13 hours of a person’s day, and, depending on how hardcore a person is, excerise can consume 30 minutes to 3 hours. Combining these two tasks not only saves valuable hours, but also allows the person to feel rested after their workout, instead of feeling the usual exhaustion.
Perhaps the best example of multitasking can be found at your local freak show circus. At these wonderful displays of efficiency, all the aspects of the ideals of multitasking come into play. Clowns ride unicyles while juggling flaming bowling pins and balancing spinning plates on long rods ong their chins. Acrobats balance on tighropes while dancing and singing the national anthem backwards. The list goes on and on. And, contrary to widespread belief, carnies are among the richest people in the world, as well as the happiest. The carnies make their money by selling admission tickets, and through another display of multitasking. This is, or course, pick pocketing while distracting the audience with their freakish tricks. And since the carnies are so good at multitasking, they do their show in a matter of minutes, and have tons of time left over to do as they please. Some may call this laziness, but really it is the perfect example of the benefits of multitasking.
So, whether you are a carny, or just a regular person, multitasking can be used to improve your life, increase your wealth, amd make you look like a freak!
